Lee Wayne Clabaugh, the son of Guy and Eleanor (Johnson) Clabaugh, was born on July 8, 1937, Stratford, Iowa. He was a 1954 graduate of Kamrar High School

On July 27, 1958, Lee was united in marriage with Mary J. Van Langen at the First Presbyterian Church in Kamrar. Together, Lee and Mary raised their family in the Hamilton and Wright County area. Lee was a long-time owner/operator, driving trucks for Umthun and Decker Trucking.

Lee was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved all Farmall Tractor – large and small! He enjoyed watching football, basketball and gardening. Lee always looked forward to annual camping trips to the Iowa State Fair and winters in La Feria, Texas with Mary. He always enjoyed family time spent with his children and grandchildren. Lee was a member of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Lee passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, in Iowa City, Iowa, at the age of 80 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary on March 29, 2017; brother, Elmer Clabaugh and sister, Charlotte Munson. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters and their spouses, Belinda and Kent Davidson of Emmetsburg, Beth and Kevin Noe of West Branch and Becky and Todd Ramsey of Eagle Grove; seven grandchildren, Amy Martini (Patrick), Holly Sidles (Joshua), Shelby Noe, Travis Noe, Cody Ramsey (fiancé` Ali Jordon), Kayla McNew (Aaron) and Andrew Ramsey; three great-grandchildren, Sydney and Kennedy Martini and Macoy Sidles; brother, Lyal Clabaugh (Alice) of Urbandale and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove, with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
