The funeral of Michael Steinke was held at the French Church last Sunday at 2 p. m. Services by Rev. George of Webster City. Michael Steinke was the father of Gust Steinke, formerly of this neighborhood.

PASSED AWAY AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

M. Steinke, Father of Mrs. Fred Draeger, Northeast of Town, at Rest

The death of Mr. Steinke occurred this morning at 9 o'clock, the deceased being 80 years of age. Death was due to the infirmity of his advanced years. Mr. Steinke lived at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Draeger, six miles northeast of this city. He was born in Germany on Sept. 30, 1832, coming to this country in 1885 or thereabouts, his wife having passed away before he came here. He leaves a son, Gus Steinke, who resides east of town, and the daughter with whom he has made his home. Funeral arrangements are as yet incomplete — the remains, however, will be buried in the Cass Center cemetery.
