Elmer Theodore Coltvet was born May 6, 1903. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Tores Coltvet. He was a member of Samuel Lutheran church. Mr. Coltvet attended Eagle Grove high school. He has pursued the occupation of farming and has resided on his farm four miles west of Eagle Grove, Iowa. He became ill last winter and passed away at his home October 2, 1946, at the age of forty-three.

His father, mother and two brothers, Benjamin and Carl, have preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure five sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Ella O'Brien and Mrs. Madeline Campbell of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Amanda Van Horn and his twin sister, Mrs. Emma Miller of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Alice Legvold of Fort Dodge, Milford Coltvet of Madelia, Minn., Harold Coltvet of Rutland, and August Coltvet of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held at the Coltvet home at 1:30 p. m., and at Samuel Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 4. Interment was made at Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove. Those from out of town who attended Elmer Coltvet's funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Everett C. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Van Horn, of Denver, Colo., Milford Coltvet of Madelia, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coltvet of Rutland, Rev. Benjamin Coltvet of Fertile, John Coltvet, and Mrs. Rolf Lund of Forest City, Mr. and Mrs. A. Oakland of Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Myers and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cameron and Lynn of Osage, Mrs. Lloyd Erdal and Mrs. Albert Jergenson and Dean of Bricelyn, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Duane Anderson of Goldfield, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Lauritz Stavenhelm, Nels Coltvet, Naomi and Stanley of Clarion, and Mr. and Mrs. Theo Koltvet of Holmes.
