Mrs. Sarah Stokke Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Sarah Stokke, 89, died Thursday morning at the Rotary Ann Home where she had resided for the past several months. Mrs. Stokke had been in failing health for some time. She was a long time resident of Eagle Grove and made her home at 511 North Iowa Ave. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Samuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Dooley officiating. Burial was
in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Stokke is survived by one daughter, Norine, Mrs. Harold Nyberg of Yankton, S. D., three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Stokke was the first cook in the Eagle Grove school cafeteria and prepared the meals for the students for eighteen years.

Obituary
Sarah Dirdal [Sarah Andrewsdatter] was born Dec. 6, 1877 to Andrew and Anna Dirdal at Dirdal, Norway. She came to America at the age of 17 years and settled in Illinois in 1901. She was united in marriage to Rasmus L. Stokke and the couple then moved to Eagle Grove. Mr. Stokke's death was in 1947. Two daughters were born to this marriage, Norine, Mrs. Harold Nyberg of Yankton, So. Dakota and Alice, who died at the age of 9 years. She is survived by her daughter Norine and a brother Olae Dirdal of Stavanger, Norway, also 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband and daughter Alice preceded her in death. She was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church and L.A. to the B. of R T.

Funeral services were held Saturday, at 2:00 p. m. March 11, at the Samuel Lutheran Church with Marvin L. Dooley officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.
