DEATH OF LITTLE BABE

Edward Leo, the little seven month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John McCarthy of Eagle Grove, died last Saturday at the home of Mrs. McCarthy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lynott. Mrs. McCarthy and baby came to Hawarden about Christmas time and had been visiting her parents. Mr. McCarthy came out from Eagle Grove two weeks ago to accompany them home but the baby, who had been ailing slightly for some time, was taken suddenly worse and they were unable to leave. Though everything that loving hands and medical skill could perform was done for the babe, he did not improve and passed away Saturday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Catholic Church, conducted by Reverend Father Bradley, and the little form was laid to rest in the cemetery at this place. The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
