Eli Casperson died Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks. His wife and three children survive him.

June 20, 1900The funeral of Eli Casperson was held in the Norwegian church Monday. There was a large attendance. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

[My research shows that Elias Caspersen was born on July 16, 1847 at Stadsbygd, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway to Casper Evensen and Ingeborg Anna Olsdatter. He and his family arrived in New York City on July 1, 1882 after emigrating from Oslo, Norway, on the ship, "SS Geiser."]
