2 July 1966 ----- 17 March 1986

Kila Kae Hiltabidle, the daughter of Richard E. and Wanema Mace Hiltabidle, was born at Fort Dodge, Iowa, on July 1, 1966. She grew up in Eagle Grove and graduated from the Eagle Grove High School in the Class of 1984. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, was secretary of the Cystic Fibrosis Support Group of Ames; and in recent months she had been compiling information for a book about the experiences of those who have the Cystic Fibrosis disease.

She died early Monday morning, March 17, 1986 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, where she had been a patient many different times.

She is survived by her parents, Richard and Wanema Hiltabidle of Eagle Grove; her brothers, Tom and his wife, Mary Hiltabidle of Eagle Grove, Steve of Eagle Grove; and Dick of Fort Dodge; her grandmothers, Mrs. Velma Mace of Corydon and Mrs. Anna Mae Hiltabidle of Corydon; her nephews, Matthew and Aaron Hiltabidle, her special Dr. Ed Nassif of McFarland Clinic at Ames; other relatives and her C F family and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers.

Funeral services for Kila Kae Hiltabidle, 19, were held Thursday, March 20, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Scott C. Hall, church pastor, was the officiant and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held on Wednesday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
