Donna Esther Knott, 62, of Iowa Falls died April 23, 1986, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were held April 26, at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Northlawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Kim Engleking was the officiating minister. Born May 23, 1923 at Jewell, Iowa the daughter of Edgar and Bessie Grandby Ward and has resided in Iowa Falls since 1959. On May 3, 1955, she was married to Roscoe S. Knott at Albert Lea, Minn. She was employed at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in the Housekeeping Department and Therapy, and was a member of Ellsworth Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Roscoe, a son, Douglas Knott, Iowa Falls, four daughters (Andrea) Mrs. Dennis Chaplin and Sally Burroughs, Iowa Falls, Linda (Mrs. George) LeBlanc, Council Bluffs, and Diana Linn Cole, Newton; six sisters, Edna Cessford, Ruth (Mrs. Dale) Rollene and Joan (Mrs. Mark) Pomeroy, Iowa Falls, Norma (Mrs. Howard) Lake, Williams, Freda (Mrs. Richard) Hutzel, Le Grand and Shirley (Mrs. Ike) Hansen, Council Bluffs; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Unger and Beatrice Akers, and three brothers, Nile, Donald and Bill Ward. Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
