Ida Mae (Meyers) Boyd age 90 of Windsor Heights, IA, formerly of Jewell, IA passed away December 24, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., December 28, 2017 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth.

Ida Mae was born Titonka, IA and raised in Garner and Belmond, IA. She married Orville G. Boyd on September 8, 1951 and together they raised five children. Survivors include sons Michael (Kris) of Jewell and Kevin (PJ) of Windsor Heights; daughters Kay (Pat) Kinsella of Urbandale and Kristen (Curt) Perkins of Madrid; son-in-law Frank Thompson of Ellsworth. 16 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother Merle of Bothell, WA; three sisters Thelma Pals of Clear Lake, IA, Shirley Kvale of Lake Mills, IA and Ardis Quant of Hatten, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Florence (Gerdis) and Henry Meyers, husband Orville, daughter Susan, brothers Harm, Henry, Andrew and Allen; and sisters Helen, Gertrude, Ruth, Geraldine, and Amy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jewell Fire Department, American Lung Association, Unity Point Hospice, or her church.
