LEMKE FUNERAL SET FOR SUNDAY AT DOWS CHURCH

DOWS, IA - Funeral services for Frank William Lemke, 93, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Erickson Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Williams will officiate. Mr. Lemke died early Friday in Lutheran Hospital, Hampton, where he had been a patient for about two weeks.

He was born Dec 8, 1863 in Germany and came to the United States at the age of four. He is a retired farmer and farmed near Dows for many years. Survivors include seven sons, Clarence, Wesley, Harry and LaVern, all of Dows; Franklin county Sheriff Lee Lemke, Hampton, Elmer, Latimer and Jess, Dallas Center; four daughters, Cora Pepper, Dows; Mrs. Wendell (Esther) Campbell, Iowa Falls; Mrs. Bernard (Edna) Peterson, Carpentersville, Ill., and Mrs. Fred (Sarah) Frye, Des Moines and 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Morgan Cemetery.
