Everett Bernard Trausch was born on September 25, 1926, in Dayton Township of Wright County, Iowa. He graduated from country school and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Lois Hirsch and later was divorced. He spent most of his life farming until he retired and moved to Webster City, Iowa.

Everett B. Trausch died Saturday, January 27, 2001, at the Southfield Wellness Center in Webster City at the age of 74. He is survived by his children, Debra Vining and husband, Jim, Eagle Grove, Iowa, Robert Trausch, and wife, Jill, Webster City, Sharon Mueller and husband, Doug, Lehigh, Iowa, and Bernard Trausch, Eagle Grove; eight grandchildren; his exwife, Lois, Otto, Iowa; three sisters, Elizaberth Trausch, Clarion, Iowa Viola Studor, Des Moines, Iowa, and Helen Steffenson, Oakdale, Minn.; one brother, Richard Trausch, and wife, Bernice, Belmond, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, June Trausch, Belmond, and Alice Trausch, Clarion; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elizabeth; three brothers, Francis, Donald, and Robert; and three sisters, Margaret, Ethel, and Gladys.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Diane DeSmidt officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
