Funeral services for Arthur N. Skiye, 79, Goldfield, were held Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in Renwick. He died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at the USA Health Care Center in Clarion. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Hal Skiye of Renwick and Jay and Rita Skiye of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Ida Clancy of Humboldt; and a brother Clifford Skiye of Hardy. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; and a brother, Norman Skiye.

Arthur Norris Skiye, son of Halver and Kristi (Vigen) Skiye, was born July 15, 1924, in Lake Township, Humboldt County. He was united in marriage to LaVonne Johnson in June, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
