27 December 1839 ---- 7 August 1907
After a lingering illness covering a period of two years, Mrs. James White passed away last Wednesday evening at the home of her son-in-law, Jay Waters, in Wall Lake township. Death was due to Bright's disease. Funeral services were held Friday forenoon at the Wall Lake church, Rev. H. C. Littleton of Clarion conducting the same. Interment took place in the Clarion cemetery. Mrs. White was born at Georgetown, Ohio, Dec. 27, 1839, and was therefore past 67 years of age. The family has resided in this locality for the past ten years, coming to the county from Lostant, Ill., in 1897. The deceased was a kind and loving mother and by those best known was most respected. She did her full part toward providing a home for a family of eight children, all now grown, to manhood and womanhood. An aged husband, five sons and three daughters are bereft of a devoted wife and mother. Those present at the funeral from away were: James White and wife of West Bend, and Mrs. Minnie Cofoid of Tonica, Ill.
