Chris J. Christensen, 65, died Friday Aug. 10th in Mercy Hospital Fort Dodge where he had been a patient for about a week. Mr. Christensen had farmed in Eagle Grove township for many years where he served on the school board of the township. Because of ill health Mr. Christensen retired from active farm work and in 1950 he and Mrs. Christensen purchased the home at 1016 West Broadway and moved to Eagle Grove.

He is survived by his wife and six children Lewis of Inglewood, Calif., George Howard of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Robert Norris of Clinton; Harvey of Riverton, Wyo.; Verne of Eagle Grove and Virgil of Vinton. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. James Sorenson and one brother William both of Omaha, Neb. and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church with Rev. Roy Cox officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Clarence Sorenson, Andrew Anderson, Hans Sorenson, Olaf Anderson, George Heard and Roy Axon.

L. Bernard, Maquokota; Jerry Bernard, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bernard and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bernard, Cedar Falls; Frank Lewis, Howard Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Brock, Lakota.
