Mamie Bauge, 91, of 119 E. 12th St., died of congestive heart failure Tuesday [June 15, 1993] at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames, with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Mamie Luella Iverson was born March 28, 1902 in Dows to Adolph and Emelia (Draves) Iverson. She lived in the Ellsworth and Radcliffe area for 26 years before moving to Ames in 1955. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Mary Greeley Medical Center for 27 years. She married Delbert Bauge on Feb. 14, 1929 in Dows. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames. She was an avid gardener and was involved with the youth of her church. She also enjoyed sewing quilts. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Richard; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and three sisters: Viola Bergeson and Arlene Ashmore, both of Ames, and Ilene Wilhelm of Lathrop, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert on Nov. 8, 1981, and a brother, Elwood Iverson. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames.
