Mrs. Elizabeth Rapp Dies at Webster City; Services Saturday

Mrs. Elizabeth Rapp, 73, Formerly of Wright county, died at 5:30 o'clock Thursday, Mar. 21 at her home at 843 First street, Webster City, following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. March 23 at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Dow Crewdson officiating. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Elizabeth Carpenter, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Carpenter, was born August 23, 1872 on a farm in Wright county near the town of Woolstock. She was educated in the schools near her home. She was united in marriage to Anthony Rapp November 27, 1890. They made their home on the Carpenter farm in Wright county. Mr. Rapp died there in 1938. Mrs. Rapp retired from the farm in 1943 and purchased a home at Webster City where she has since lived. Mrs. Rapp was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son. Karl, who died in 1933 and one son who died in infancy, four sisters and one brother. She is survived by three daughters, Katy at home, Mrs. Charles V. Hilpipre of Blairsburg and Mrs. George Rinehart of Webster City; one son, John F. Rapp of Clarion, twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed as a kind and thoughtful mother and friend.
