Joyce Marie Kaiser, the youngest of five children to bless the marriage of her parents Joseph and Mona (Caron) Kaiser, was born October 29, 1962, in Worthington, MN. Joyce was baptized and confirmed in Fulda. In her adolescence she loved to play games and be with her friends and family. As a child Joyce was raised in the Fulda and Slayton, MN areas where she attended parochial schools through the 8th grade and Fulda, MN, and graduated from Fulda High School in 1981. Joyce then continued her education for a time at Technical College in Granite Falls, MN.

Joyce worked at various jobs in the earlier years of adulthood and eventually met her partner and future husband John "J.R." Clark when she was working at a local restaurant in Minnesota and the two spent the next 21 years of life together enjoying the good times and bonding together as a team to face the challenges that crossed their pathway. Joyce enjoyed their life together and her and J.R. truly loved providing a nurturing home to her son, Marty. The three would often be seen at dirt track races throughout the region or trolling about in their fishing boat on various lakes sharing their love for fishing. Joyce truly relished her role as a mother to Marty and both her and J.R. worked diligently to provide for their family together. Marty died in an accident in October 2007. This loss made Joyce and J.R. that much stronger in their bond and they were married at their home in rural Belmond on September 21, 2008.

Throughout her life Joyce was known to be a dedicated and loyal employee and could work hard or even harder than anyone else on the job or task at hand, a tribute to the values and ethics that were instilled in her and her siblings by her parents Joe and Mona. Her occupations were diverse including a time as a truck driver and working at a car dealership in Minnesota. In more recent years since moving to Belmond, Joyce had worked at the P & G Deli, Belmond-Klemme Schools, and at Pizza Ranch. For the last 12 years Joyce had been the Office manager at Wright Materials in Belmond, IA, where she knew the ins and outs of each and every employee there in addition to her responsibilities. Her vast knowledge of the rules and regulations were immense and her ability to keep everything in order and multi task each and every day was excellent. In addition to her job there, Joyce assisted J.R. with the paperwork and to her office duties of his contractor business "Little Man Construction". Joyce truly was a barrel of energy and had love for others. She strived hard to be the best at everything she did. Joyce truly was a meticulous lady. She was often referred to as "Mother Hen" as she was always taking care of everyone at work, of her husband J.R. and Marty, and looking after the needs of other members of her family. Joyce enjoyed fishing trips to area lakes, to her brother Don's lake home at Alexandria, Minnesota where days were full of fishing and other activities and evenings spent enjoying home made wines, s’mores, and conversations with her family., and in recent times get-aways to the couple's cabin in Hurley, WI. She was very excited to go there last week to defend her Ice Fishing Championship from last year when she won the competition. During their times in Hurley they loved to spend times with many friends. Joyce loved to listen to country music and eating out with J.R. and her co-workers. She loved family gatherings in addition to and baking and decorating Christmas cookies with her great nieces and nephews. She loved her dogs immensely and quiet times spent outdoors on a summer evening. Joyce loved to raise a vegetables in her gardener and canning. She was as wonderful cook, with an arsenal of many delicious specialties, such as fried chicken, lasagna, potato salad, dressings, and made mouth watering home made pies with crusts from scratch. Her home made salsa was second to none! Joyce loved to mow and keep a well manicured lawn.

Joyce will be missed for her caretaking ways, her love for life, heart warming laugh, twinkle in her beautiful eyes. She was a person everyone knew they could count on to be there. Her memory will live on in her husband John "J.R." Clark, Belmond, IA; sister Mary Ann (Larry) Lohse, Belmond, IA, and their daughter JoAnn (Barry )Huedepohl and children Kendra and Derek, all of Belmond, IA, brother Rev. Richard "Dick" (Beth) Kaiser, Des Moines, IA and their children Joshua (Beth) Kaiser, and Jonathan (Alisha) Kaiser and family Jadea, Caspian, and Hailey; a sister-in-law Pat Kaiser, and her daughters Heidi (Ryan) Johnson and son Carter; and Heather Kaiser and son Conrad Diersen. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mona, sister Rev. Carol Kaiser, brother Donald Kaiser, and her son, Marty Davis. Andrews Funeral Home, Belmond, IA.
