Casper M. Thul, son of Jacob Thul and Angeline Marsh, was born on January 13, 1898 in Grant township, Wright county, Clarion, Iowa and passed away at Mercy hospital in Des Moines, being 54 years, 3 months and 19 days of age at the time of his death. He was graduated from St. John's Academy at Clarion and on February 15, 1922 was united in marriage with Helen Buellesfeld of Blackwell, Okla. To this union four children were born. Two sons, Francis and Donald of Eagle Grove and two daughters, (Lucille), Mrs. Clifford Nelson of Eagle Grove and (Marjorie) Mrs. Martin Larson of Clarion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Rose, Mary, Anna and Margaret and three brothers, John, Peter and Michael. One brother, Edd of Clarion and four sisters, Mrs. John Grey of Spencer, Mrs. Henry Mishak of Alta Vista, Mrs. S. W. Parks of Clarion and Mrs. Agnes Clemens of Fort Dodge survive.

Services were held at 9:30 in Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove on May 6 with Rev. J. E. Slowey in charge. Interment was made at Calvary cemetery in Eagle Grove.
