Miss Frances W. Kabele, 84, died Thursday morning, Dec. 17, at the William Charles Heritage Home in Mason City. She had been ill for some time. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the United Presbyterian Church, in charge of Rev. Frank Elliott. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Miss Kabele is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Walter Alborn of Mason City and Mrs. George
Chapman of Goldfield. Miss Kabele was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Kabele and she was a graduate of Goldfield High School. She had been a school teacher for 53 years, 34 of which were in the Goldfield schools. She retired in 1956.OBITUARY
Frances W. Kabele, daughter of George and Minnie Kennedy Kabele, was born in DeWitt, Iowa October 24, 1886. The family moved to Goldfield in 1897, where Frances graduated from High School. She later attended Drake University and University of Maryland. She had made her home near or in Goldfield since 1897, and had been a member of the United Presbyterian Church since her early years. Frances had devoted all her adult life to teaching, until her retirement in 1956. She was a beloved teacher for 53 years; 34 of those years teaching in the Goldfield School System.Frances had been in ill health several months and entered into eternal rest early Thursday morning, December 17, at the William Charles Heritage Home in Mason City. She was 84 years, 1 month and 23 days of age at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister: William in 1920; Martha in 1957 and two infant brother and sister who died in infancy. She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Georgia Chapman of Goldfield and Mrs. Barbara Alborn of Mason City;, one niece; two nephews and seven grandnieces and nephews.
