30 June 1903 ---- 26 February 1982

Inda Loveta Pringle was born June 30, 1903, at Woolstock, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Eleanor France Pringle. Inda received her education in the Eagle Grove Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Oscar Sanford Mellgren, of Eagle Grove, on July 18, 1923, at her parents home in Eagle Grove. The young couple made their home in Eagle Grove where Oscar was employed by the Chicago North Western Railroad. Mr. Mellgren died in 1974.

Inda taught school for awhile, was employed by the Kenefick Drug Store, and was a Kindergarten teacher's aide.

She died at her home in Eagle Grove Friday morning after a sudden illness, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 26 days. She is survived by her children; sons, Donald Mellgren, Missoula, Montana; Robert Mellgren, Swisher, Iowa; daughters, Joan Sanders, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Mary (Mrs. Roger) Derscheid, Eagle Grove, Iowa; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Inda has one sister surviving, Mrs. Norman (Bonnie) Fardell, San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Carlyle.

Inda was a member of the United Methodist Church, Weselyan Guild, OES, American Legion Auxiliary, and Rotary Ann Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, 1982, at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, Rev. Donald Callen officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
