Donald R. Hill, 62, Las Vegas, Nev., and formerly of Marshall, [Illinois] died August 7, 1996, in the VA Medical Center at Los Angeles, Calf. Military graveside rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 1996, in the Marshall Cemetery with VFW Post #5975 and Clark County American Legion Post #90 conducting the services. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made by Pearce Funeral Home of Marshall.

He was born October 8, 1933, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Harry and Bertha L. Thompson Hill. He was a welder for Silver State Disposal Service in Las Vegas, Nev.

Survivors include a daughter, Allison Hill, Marshall; a step-daughter, Kimberla Sweet, Marshall; a son, Donald R. Hill Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla.; three step-sons, James E. Riggs and Timothy Riggs, Marshall, and Thomas Riggs, Paris; three sisters, Thelma Bertram, Webster City, Iowa, Marlene Hansen, Waverly, Iowa, and Lois Fields, Kansas City, Ks.; four brothers, Harlan Hill, Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Harvey Hill, Wood River, Ill., Harold Hill, Clarion, Iowa, and John Hill; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
