February 1, 1889 ---- July 2, 1979

Jesse D. Yearous died Monday, July 2, 1979, at the age of 90 years in Burnsville, Minn. Jesse was born to Albon and Annabele Gregor Yearous on February 1, 1889, in Eagle Grove. Jesse was brought up and educated in Eagle Grove. On August 4, 1911, he was united in marriage to Izetta Howe of Eagle Grove in Clarion. To this union were born four children, one son, Jay, and three daughters, Marine, Lucille and Peggy. They lived a short time in Eagle Grove and Madrid. Then they moved to Des Moines where they lived for 50 years. In 1961 they moved to Richfield, Ill., where he was employed as a salesman for Walter Blendsoe Coal Company till 1964 when they moved to Burnsville, Minn.

Survivors include: son, Jay Dee Yearous, Bloomington, Minn.; three daughters: Mrs. Don (Maxine) McCollough, Edina, Minn.; Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Chapman, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. James (Peggy) McElwain, Burnsville, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 6 at 2 p.m. at Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. Carl Jensen officiated and burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
