Funeral services held Monday at First Reformed Church of Meservey, for Anton (Tony) Boelman, retired farmer, who would have been 69, Sept. 10. He died Thursday at Mercy Hospital Mason City, Ia. after having suffered two strokes. He had been in failing health for two years. The final rites were conducted by Rev. E. Kampman. Fulton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial in Meservey Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Dirks, Lester Hopkey, Albert Kuhlers, Herman Kuhlers, Ben R. Vierkant, Charles Waddingham.
Mr. Boelman farmed many years in the Meservey area, and retired some ten years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by all seven children, four sons, Henry and Aeiko of Mason City, Roy at home, Harvey of Minneapolis, three daughters (Tena) Mrs. Louis Dirks, Thornton, (Grace) Mrs. Robert Smith of Mason City, (Bendeen) Mrs. Elmer Trager of Riceville. Also two brothers, William of Aplington, a twin of the deceased, and Ben of Meservey, and one sister Mrs. H. H. Mennenga of Belmond.
