Funeral services for Mrs. William Kaduce were held Friday Sept. 16, at the Reformed Church in Meservey. Rev. E. Kampman in charge assisted by Rev. O. Poppen of Belmond.
Mrs. Lena Kaduce was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aeiko Koenen, born Nov. 21, 1891 near Latimer. She was married to William Kaduce Jan. 26, 1921. To this union five children were born, of which three preceded the mother in death in infancy. Mrs. Kaduce spent most of her life in the Meservey vicinity. Death was due to an obstruction of the bowel. Death came Sept. 13, 1938. She is survived by her husband, one son Theodore, one daughter Tena, four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dirks, Klemme, Mrs. Kate Blau, Mrs. Anna Frohling, Mrs. George Blau, Belmond, six brothers, Harm, Jake, John, Joe, Aeiko, Henry, Meservey.
Mrs. J. R. Schmidt, Mrs. Bonte, Mrs. Louis Meinders, Mrs. Kampman sang, “Go Bury Thy Sorrow", “The Home Over There", “Does Jesus Care”. George Watermiller, John Wientjes, Albert Kuhlers, H. J. Pals, P. H. Pals, Dick Wessels were pallbearers.
