Funeral services for Jacob Stauffacher, Blanchardville resident who passed away at St. Clare hospital Wednesday at 8:10 p.m., will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Swiss Evangelical and Reformed church in New Glarus of which he was a member. Rev. W. J. Stuckey will officiate.

Mr. Stauffacher was born on Feb. 17, 1868 in Renwick, Ia., the son of John and Katherine Norder Stauffacher. He came to Wisconsin when eight years old after the death of his parents. For 10 years prior to his marriage, he lived on the Nick Elmer farm in New Glarus. He was confirmed on April 6, 1884. After his marriage to the former Mariah Becker on Nov. 19, 1891, the couple moved to a farm near New Glarus and 33 years ago retired to Blanchardville.

In addition to his family which survives him, Mr. Stauffacher has a brother, Dietrich of New Glarus, living. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a sister, Mrs. Conrad Marty of Brodhead and a brother, John Stauffacher of North Dakota. The body may be viewed at Zenter funeral home in New Glarus.
