Therman Melvin Burk passed away Friday morning in his home at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 24 days. Therman was born January 2, 1912 in LuVerne to Charles and Cora Kubly Burk. He was educated in LuVerne and Renwick. He was united in marriage to Beatrice Egemo on February 19, 1937. This union was blessed with one son, Robert. In 1943 they took up residence in Eagle Grove. Therman worked as an auto mechanic. In 1953 he became self-employed and opened a shop in Renwick. He retired in March of 1979.

Those who mourn his departure are his wife, Beatrice; one son, Robert Burk of Irving, Tex.; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Cora Burk of Eagle Grove; one brother, Kenneth Burk of Renwick; one sister, Lauretta Marso of San Francisco, Calif. Preceding him in death were his father, twin sister and one brother.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 29, 1979, 10:30 a.m. in Kastler Babcock DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. Orville Sanderson officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
