MRS. E. B. WITCRAFT PASSED AWAY AT PILOT MOUND, IA
Death claimed another of the older residents of Fonda, when Mrs. E. B. Witcraft answered the final call. Mrs. Witcraft died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Witcraft, at Pilot Mound, Iowa, on Friday morning, April 10, at the age of 67. The body was brought to Fonda on Saturday, and services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. The remains were taken to Eagle Grove, where burial took place Sunday afternoon. Deceased had been in failing health during the past three months, and about two months ago she went to Pilot Mound, where she was given the best of care. Complications which followed a severe attack of kidney trouble, were responsible for her death.Mrs. Witcraft was born in Davenport, Iowa in 1864. She came to Fonda about 10 years ago, when she was united in marriage with E. B. Witcraft who has preceded her in death.

To Edgar B. Witcraft on November 2, 1919 in Fonda, Pocahontas, Iowa1st husband Silas Perry Hays died on December 31, 1909 in Eagle Grove. Florence Witcraft is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove alongside Silas.]
