Daniel Tilghman, 61, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, formerly of Eagle Grove, passed away on August 14, 2017. Memorial services will be held on August 28, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove.

Daniel was born September 3, 1955, the only child of Lyle and Mary Jane Tilghman. His family lived on a farm near Blairsburg, Iowa. Later moving to the Eagle Grove area, he attended the Eagle Grove School District graduating in 1974. He had his own lawn care business. Dan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove. He loved the Lord and enjoyed singing at church services. He also enjoyed being a member of Sky Watch. As a younger man, he loved riding horses with his dad and participating in the Saddle Club activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane and Lyle Tilghman; grandparents, Jesse and Alealia Hammond, and Harry and Stella Tilghman; and many aunts and uncles. He leaves behind three aunts, one uncle, many cousins and dear friends.
