Shari A. Kinseth, 76, formerly of Belmond, Iowa died July 21, 2017 in a beautiful, peaceful setting in La Jolla, CA from complications of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. A celebration of life will be held this fall in Belmond. Memorials are suggested to the Belmond United Methodist Church. The family may be contacted c/o Tamera Dorr.

Sharon was born May 4, 1941 in Charles City to Louie George and Fern Cecilia (Bennett) Matson. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1959 and later moved to Omaha for career training. She then moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for the CIA and Red Cross. She married and resided in Mason City with her two daughters where she worked at the crime commission as a secretary. In 1978 she moved to Belmond upon her marriage to Larry Kinseth. She worked at the Chamber of Commerce for a number of years.

Shari was a social, active woman who was involved in her community and her church. She enjoyed time with friends in many organizations, golfing, playing Bridge, baking, music and spending time with family. Shari was a beautiful woman inside and out, whose family adored her for her kind and boundless love and special one- of-a-kind funny demeanor. This unique gift could enlighten nearly any gathering where Shari was present.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Larry Dean Kinseth. Those left to cherish the memory of Shari’s life include her daughters Tamera Dorr, of Coronado, CA and Dawn Breza of Minneapolis, MN and her children Parker, Cassandra and Mitchell. Other family members include her step-children Rick (Angie) Kinseth of Belmond, Laurie Steenblock of Belmond, and Kim Kinseth of Mason City; step-grandchildren Natasha (Lynrick) Rogers, Jason (Tiffany) Steenblock, Ben, Morgan, Elijah and Maya Kinseth, Joseph (Cassandra) Davies, and Samantha Davies; and eight great-grandchildren.
