Shelly Annette Schroder, the daughter of Doris Louis Boggs Schroder and Erwin Leroy Schroder was born November 20, 1963, in Clarion Iowa. She attended the Belmond schools and graduated in 1982. She had been a member of the Belmond High School Band for four years, and was selected to attend Girl's State for junior year. After high school Shelly worked at the Belmond Car Center and American Woods Company. Shelly died Wednesday, December 5, 1984 at the Belmond Community Hospital after fighting a battle with cancer since 1979. She leaves to cherish her memory her father Erwin and her step-mother Mabel of Rowan; 2 brothers Richard of Rowan, Phillip of Clarion and Thomas of Galt; 3 step sisters, Sandi Grimm of Goddell, Rosie Darland of Eagle Grove and Paula Molstead of Waterloo; a step brother Gary Obrecht of Webster City. Her boyfriend David Osier of Rowan. Her grandmothers also survive Mrs. Arlene Thayer of Rowan and Mrs. Ruth Boggs of Story City. She is preceded in death by her mother Doris, her brother Doug, and grandfathers Harry A. Schroder and Emmet Boggs.
