Mrs. Hilda Marie Schaeffer Pohlman, the daughter of Albert and Albertine Forsland Seaquist, was born on July 3, 1885, in Brooklyn, New York. Her father was a clothing tailor and the family lived in various states. On May 28, 1902, she was united in marriage with Theodore Schaeffer at Webster City. Iowa. The couple made their home and raised their family in Eagle Grove. Mr. Schaeffer died in 1944 Hilda was married to Edward Pohlman of Eagle Grove in 1946 at Ayrshire, Iowa. He died in 1978. Mrs. Pohlman had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove for the past four years. She died at the Rotary Ann Home early Wednesday morning, July 1, 1981, at the age of 95 years, 11 months and 28 days.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Lenore Sadler of Renwick, Iowa; Max, Mrs. Joseph Helgevold of Ayrshire, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, six step-children, including: Vera, Mrs. Ruben Erland, of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Vivian Jackson of Clarion; Mrs. Maxine Nelson of GlenEllyn. Ill.; Mrs. Delores Mallon of Chicago. Ill.; MaryJo. Mrs. Chas Marini of Warren, Mich.: and David Pohlman of Boulder, Colo.; 8 step grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; a son, Donald and three brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda M. Pohlman were held on Friday, July 3, 1981, at 10:30 a m. at the
Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Charles Dutton, pastor of the Eagle Grove Baptist Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
