Ellert Felix Olson, the son of Ole P. and Olena Dokken Olson, was born on April 24, 1910 at Kensett, Iowa. He was baptized in the North Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett. At a young age, he moved with his parents to Cedar Falls and was confirmed in the English Lutheran Church. He later moved to Clarion with his family and graduated from the Clarion High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa for one year. For several years, he was employed by the Auto-Travel Transport Company in Detroit, Michigan. He had lived in Fort Dodge for 15 years and had been a resident of the South Humboldt Care Center for the year. He died at the Humboldt Memorial Hospital after undergoing surgery on Monday, June 29,1981. He attained the age of 71 years, 2 months and 5 days.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Anna Sheldon of Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Felix Olson were held Wednesday, July 1, 1981, at 10 am at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Kenneth Torvik officiated and burial was in the family lot at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
