Mrs. Olena Dokken Olson was born at Kensett, Iowa, January 7, 1878. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On July 12, 1899 she was married to Ole P. Olson. She was an Eagle Grove resident since 1934. Mrs. Olson died Wednesday night, September 4ih at her home on North Cadwell after a prolonged illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and five brothers. She is survived by two children, Ellert Olson, now of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ann Sheldon of Webster City; a granddaughter Mrs. Merlin Fischer of Thor, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Harry Cooper of Kensett, Iowa; also by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 7, 1963, 2:00 p.m. at the Kastler Funeral Home of Eagle Grove, Pastor Jordan T. Jacobsen officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.
