Elizabeth Lavonne “Liz” Lucart, 63, of Sioux City entered into rest on May 31, 2017 in her final home at Accura Healthcare Center after battling lung cancer. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Nelson Berger Northside Chapel with Reverend Dave Miller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Liz was born on September 29, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of David and Margaret Rose (Loughry) Bass. She was raised in the Fort Dodge and Eagle Grove areas. She attended Fort Dodge High School and then finished and received her GED from Job Corps in Denison, Iowa. She later moved to Sioux City where she met David Lucart and married him on April 11, 1975.
She is survived by her sisters Polly Breno of North Platte, NE, Rosella Mosher of Fort Dodge, IA, and Vickey Breno of Myrtle Beach, NC; her brother Angelo Breno of AZ; Sons: William Bass, Scott Bass, and John Lucart of Sioux City; daughter Sonya Lowery and husband Dave Lowery of Sioux City and Crystal Donlin of Sioux City; 9 Grandchildren; and 3 Great Grandchildren. Liz was preceded in death by her parents David and Margaret, twin daughters, a son, and a sister Rowena Cutting.
