Phillip David Buchanan, 83, Littlefork, MN, passed away at the Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Phillip was born on October 16, 1933 in Belmond, IA to parents Theodore and Florence (Kelley) Buchanan. He moved to International Falls in 1985. He enjoyed working at the Northland Day Activity Center until he decided to retire. He loved all activities at the Littlefork Care Center where he was crowned the Valentine’s Day King the last two years. He thoroughly enjoyed living at the Care Center where he made many friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jacqueline Johnson, Ruth Coker; brothers, Lyle, and Teddy. He is survived by sisters, Betty Ostendorf of Sedalia, MI, Rande (Mann) Shaffer of Littlefork; seventeen nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Green-Larsen Mortuary, 517 Fourth Street, International Falls, MN, on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
