Marie "Minnie" Maxine Bradfield, 94, of Denver, [Iowa] died Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Denver Sunset Home in Denver. Marie was born May 10, 1922, in Wall Lake Township, Wright County, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Della (Hilpipre) Frye. She attended East High School in Waterloo and then the Pitzies School of Beauty. On November 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Paul Bradfield. Marie had four children. The couple made their home in Waterloo where Marie operated Marie's Beauty Salon for over 35 years. They moved to Denver in 1972. Paul died in 1975 and Marie continued to live in Denver. On November 25, 1994, she was united in marriage to Ray Steinberg at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Denver. Over the years, she also worked at the Rite Spot in Denver and Ron's Floor Covering. Ray passed away in 2007. Marie remained active in Denver, and became a resident of the Denver Sunset Home in 2014. Marie loved to cook and entertain. She especially enjoyed poker games with the Jolly Dolly's every Saturday afternoon.

Marie is survived by three daughters; Chady (Tom) Scesniak of Schaumberg, Illinois, Deb (Dave) Fink of Denver, Denise (David) Bradfield of Madrid; one son; Brett Bradfield of Ankeny, stepdaughters; Bonnie (Craig) Etjen of Parkersburg and Sue Steinberg of Denver, step daughter-in-law, Janice Bradfield of Evansdale, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Dorothy Frye, brother-in-law; Dean Bradfield, and special friends; Mary Bartels and Kim Buenneke. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Paul E. Bradfield and Raymond Steinberg, brothers; Harvey and Mervin Frye and stepsons; Gary Bradfield, Wayne Bradfield and Russ Steinberg.

Private Family Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver with Rev. Craig Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Public Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Memorials may be directed to Denver Sunset Home Activities, Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Denver, or Hospice Compassus. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
