Funeral services for Orville Hoyt, 62, who died at his home one mile north of Clarion, were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church. The Rev. C. H. Van Metre of Marshalltown, former pastor of the Clarion Methodist Church, was in charge.

Orville Hoyt was born May 18, 1874, at Steamboat Rock, Hardin county. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt came to this locality about 30 years ago, where they were since engaged in farming. Surviving are his widow, his son, Harold, and two grandchildren, all of Clarion.
