Urbandale, Iowa ---- Robert LaVerne Beisner, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 16, 2017. Robert was born on March 8, 1931 in Dows, Iowa to Everett and Tillie (Reinen) Beisner. Robert is survived by his four children, Linda (Tim) Ray of Darlington, South Carolina, Rex (Kile) Beisner of Urbandale, Bonnie (Wren) Campbell of West Des Moines, and Jay Beisner of Des Moines; grandchildren, Seth (Sydney) Campbell, HW Campbell, and Sherman Campbell all of West Des Moines, Shelley (Kenneth) Fipps of Charleston, South Carolina, Tammy Ray and Ashley Ray of Darlington, South Carolina; sister Rita (Charles) Einsphar; sister-in-law Rosalie (Donald) Howe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Northa (Mortenson); her parents, Arthur and Hazel Mortenson; infant son Carl; sister, Deloris Wakefield; and brothers-in-law, Howard Einsphar and Bill Reece.

A memorial service will be July 1, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 4300 Beaver Avenue, Des Moines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any charity of your choice.
