Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie A. Beisner, 71, a lifelong Wright county resident, were held from the Chapel of the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Carl O. Jensen officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Beisner died at her rural farm home on Tuesday evening, June 16, 1981. She had been in ill health for the past two years and death was due to cancer. Special music at the service was by Mrs. Paul Loomis at the organ and Granville Shivvers singing. Casket bearers were: Arthur Elings, Gene Balentine, Henry Schreiber, Claus Schutt, Lynn Abbott and Kenneth Kuehnast.
Born in Wall Lake Township of Wright County on October 18, 1909, she was the daughter of Gustave and Margaret Meyer Schutt. She was graduated from Clarion High School in 1927. She attended Teacher College at Cedar Falls and taught in the rural schools of Hamilton and Wright counties. In May of 1935 she and Frank Beisner were married in Chicago, Illinois. They farmed southwest of Dows and in 1969 moved to their farm in southeast of Clarion. He died in 1974.
Three children survive: Jerald and Galen both of Clarion and Mrs. Jack (Jeanne) Dawson of Norwalk. She is also survived by two grandchildren. Her parents, five brothers, three sisters, one son and one daughter preceded her in death.
