Nearly his whole life has been spent in this vicinity, a life widely respected and honored, he proved himself at all times a good neighbor and a faithful friend. It is seldom a man dies of whom it can be so truthfully said he leaves a host of friends and no enemies. His purse and hands were always ready to help a needy cause.
