February 22, 1935 ----- May 4, 2017

Betty Christians passed away on 5-4-2017 at Regions Hospital [St. Paul, Minnesota]. She was born and raised in Eagle Grove, Iowa and graduated from Eagle Grove High school in May 1953. She attended Iowa State and graduated with a B.S. in Textiles and Clothing on July 24, 1957. Later that year, on September 14, 1957, Betty was married to Charles Christians and moved to Fargo, ND. They lived there for 10 months before moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma where they lived for 2 years and their children John and Linda were born. They then moved to State College, Mississippi and lived there for 2 more years before moving to Minnesota. In 1964, they bought their home in New Brighton, MN where they resided for 54 years where their children Neil and Cheryl were born.

Betty was a person of deep faith. She loved pigs, knitting, sewing, and cooking. In the later years of her life, she suffered from a minor stroke and Guillain-Barre´ Syndrome.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Marson and Caroline Anderson, sister Beverly Haugse, and son-in-law Craig Thompson. She is survived by her husband Charles Christians; daughter Linda (Mark) Johnson; son Neil Christians; daughter Cheryl Christians; Grandchildren Tyler, Brandon, Zachary, Heather, Chad, Anna, Kelsey, Jake, Alexandra, and her Great-grandchild Liliana.

Memorials are requested to Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton, MN or to Guillain-Barre´ Syndrome Foundation International.
