Helen DeWolf, 81, of Des Moines, formerly of Eagle Grove, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Wesley Acres in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at a later date with burial to follow in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Helen DeWolf was born September 25, 1923 in Laurens, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Ethel Neville. On January 20, 1945, she married Roger DeWolf in Quantico, Virginia. Together they owned the DeWolf Equipment Company. They lived in Rolfe, Eagle Grove, Ames and Des Moines. She was a member of the Collegiate Presbyterian Church and the National Cyclone Club. She is survived by three daughters: Mary DeWolf, of Peoria, Ill.; Deborah Emery, of Braintree, MA; and Ann Erb, of West Des Moines; a son, James DeWolf, of Saddlebrook, New Jersey; two sisters, Gretchen Monaco, of Mormandy, Mo.; and Jane Hanish, of Pocahontas; a brother, Joe Neville, of Redding, Calif.; a granddaughter, Erica Kiefer, of West Des Moines; and great grandson, Sean Kiefer, of West Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, on November 15, 2003. Adams Funeral Home of Ames is in charge of arrangements.
