Paul Grosshuesch
Dr. Grosshuesch, 64, was killed at 11:05 a.m. Monday in an automobile-truck collision at a county road intersection, 12 miles southeast of Hampton, Iowa. Dr. W. R. Arthur, acting corner of Franklin County, Iowa, said he apparently died instantly of a broken neck. He had been riding in the front seat of a car driving by the Rev. Calvin Grosshuesch, a brother, when it collided with a gravel truck at a crossing a mile south of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church, where the Grosshuesch party had been visiting. The members of the Grosshuesch party were enroute from Klemme to Ackley, Iowa, to attend a pastor's circle meeting at the time of the accident. Dr. Grosshuesch, who was on leave of absence from Mission House College since June, was in Iowa on business connected with the proposed relocation of the school in Sheboygan. He had served as president of the college since 1931, longer that any of his predecessors. His grandfather was one of the founders of the school and his father was a teacher, librarian and treasurer for many years.

Survivors are his wife, Oleta; two sons, Donald, Elkhart Lake, and David, route 3 Plymouth; a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruth) Anderson, Aberdeen, S. D.; his mother, Mrs. J. W. Grosshuesch, Klemme, Ia., and three brothers, Rev. Victor Grosshuesch, Fremont, Wis., Walter, Madison, and Oscar, Yankton, S. D. The funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Herman.
