ATHENS, OHIO — Raymond F. Hart, 98, of Athens, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at The Laurels. Born Jan. 21, 1919 in Clarion, Iowa, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Hart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Donna Hart in 2013. He is survived by his children, Margie (Gary) Huber of Athens, Don Hart of Las Vegas, Nevada and Bob Hart of Kansas City, Kansas; and his two granddaughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth.

Ray met his wife, Mary Donna in St. Louis, where they were married in 1959. They spent most of their life together in Overland Park, Kansas, were he was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed his career with the CSX Railroad and retired in 1982. He also enjoyed a game of golf now and then, but most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

The family would like to thank the Staff of The Laurels and OhioHealth Hospice for the loving care they provided him.
