December 18, 1945 ---- June 14, 2015

Michael Locke, 69, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Durand, pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Newark Township Cemetery, Vincent. A visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Michael is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Todd (Lori) of Fort Dodge; Troy (Mary Tuel) of Lehigh; six grandchildren, Chad, Trace, and Isabella Locke; Charmaine Dallman; Candy (Anthony) Christopherson; Bobbi (Jason Marsh) Dallman; six great-grandchildren, Madeline; Bradley; Gabriel; Delaney; Keegan; Emerson; brother, Bill (Maureen) Locke of Eagle Grove; four nephews, Justin; Jarred; Jakson; Colten; and niece, Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Marlys (Rhodes) Locke; great-grandchild, Keirstyn Swanson; and sister, Colleen Whitaker.

Michael H. Locke was born December 18, 1945 in Washington, D.C. As a young infant, Michael and his family settled in Vincent. He attended Newark Township Schools and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. Mike was employed with Celotex for over 30 years and later worked for Spritezer Heavy Equipment and for James W. Bell Inc. from which he retired due to ill health. While working for James W. Bell, he referred to his customers as his close friends. Michael was a life sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and was a lifetime member of N.R.A. and A.T.A. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
