February 9, 1820 ---- August 10, 1897

Mr. Joseph Pletcher died yesterday, Tuesday, at 12:30 at the home of his son William Pletcher. Mr. Pletcher was respected and honored by all who knew him for his integrity of character and kind disposition. He was an old soldier died without any particular sickness or suffering, practically a death from old age being 77 years of age. The funeral will be held at Wm. Pletcher's tomorrow, Thursday morning at 8:30 and the burial will be at Clarion. Rev. Mr. Shafftoe will preach the sermon and the G. A. R. have charge of the ceremonies.
