HUDSON — Frederick R. Houser, 93, of Lucerne, Switzerland, formerly of Hudson, passed away Aug. 18, 2015, in Lucerne, Switzerland. He was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Dows, Iowa, to Fred and Maude Houser. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Yvonne; and sister, La Verne Koos. He is survived by two daughters, Linda, Spain, and Anita, Switzerland; and two sisters, Marjorie Cushman, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Shirley Wirtz, Lexington.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was a bomber pilot. He graduated from the University of Illinois in engineering and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft of Canada.
