Esther Martha Paulina (Bahr) Srigley, 96, of Hampton, IA passed away peacefully February 10, 2017 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton, IA of natural causes. She was born July 27, 1920 in Alden, IA to Charles and Meta Bahr. She was married to William (Bob) Srigley for 57 years. They resided most of their married life in Clarion and Hampton. Esther was mostly a stay at home mother/grandma, but always of assistance to help anyone in need. Friends of her sons, grandkids and the neighbors always knew they could visit the Srigleys for snacks, a meal or a place to stay. Esther loved to dance and go to social gatherings. She had cards printed up to give to new acquaintances with her contact information and one line..."Be Happy Always". She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a devout Christian and expressed those values in the way she lived her life.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and husband Bob and son Charles. She is survived by her sons T.R. Srigley, Loren K. Srigley, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, some of whom she may not have had the chance to meet.
