Mother and Infant Son Die

This community was shocked and saddened Friday night when it was learned of the death of a young mother, Mrs. Wm. Hutchison, which occurred about nine o'clock, following the birth of her little son. Mrs. Hutchison lived about one hour following the birth, when she was suddenly taken in death. The baby was weak at birth, lived about eight hours, and died at five o'clock Saturday morning.

Mrs. Hutchison, the former Alice Campbell, youngest daughter of the late George R. Campbell, and Mrs. Campbell was born in Eagle Grove, Feb. 25, 1907. She was graduated from Sacred Heart schools and later from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisc. In 1933 she was united in marriage to Wm. Hutchison of Clarion. After a short residence in Clarion, they moved to Eagle Grove where they have made their home in an apartment at the Mrs. Frances Coddington residence. Three children were born to this union, two little girls, Virginia Lee, 4, and Lorna Jean, 2, and the baby boy. She is survived by her husband and daughters, her mother, Mrs. George R. Campbell, one sister, Mrs. Porter Dewey of Sterling, Ill., and one brother, Gordon Campbell of this city.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hutchison and her infant son were held Monday afternoon from the Campbell home in charge of the Rev. Father P. Molloy and burials were in Calvary cemetery. Among those from out of the city who attended the funeral were Mrs. Porter Dewey and son Donald of Sterling, Ill., John Hanrahan of Milwaukee, Wis., Mr. Hutchison of Council Bluffs, Mrs. W. G. Connors of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. M. L. Goslin of Ames.
