January 23, 1897 ---- May 30, 1973

Leanna Florence Persinger was born in Moroa, Ill on January 23, 1897 to Charles and Amelia Taylor Persinger. She was baptized into the triune faith at First Christian Church at Sac City, Ia. She became a member of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church through affirmation of faith on Sept. 29, 1970. She died on May 30, 1973 at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, after reaching the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 7 days. Florence was educated in the Sac City schools. She was united in marriage on February 24, 1915 to Homer Moore Eble at Sac City. The Lord blessed this marriage with four daughters: Charlene, Helen, Jean and Margy. Her husband, Homer, passed away on February 19, 1939. On January 5, 1944 she was married to Ole Nervig at Boone. They made their home in Eagle Grove. In 1970 she suffered a stroke and had been a resident of Rotary Ann Home since July 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lynn Persinger; and her husband, Ole Nervig, on February 5, 1971. Those who mourn her departure are four daughters: Mrs. Lawrence Ellwanger, Corydon; Mrs. Eugene Coler, Ogden; Mrs. Gerald Clause, Jefferson; Mrs. Wilbur Klassie, Greene; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Walter Body, Sac City.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on June 2 at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. H. W. Schiller. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ole Nervig funeral Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ole Nervig were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Evangelical Lutheran Church with the pastor, Rev. H. W. Schiller officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Nervig died Wednesday evening, May 30, in Bethesda General Hospital where she had been a patient for a short time. Mrs. Nervig is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Elwanger, Corydon; Mrs. Eugene Coler, Ogden; Mrs. Gerald Clause, Jefferson; and Mrs. Wilbur Klassi, Greene. Mrs. Nervig had been in failing health for several years and since July, 1972 had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Home. Mr. Nervig died in 1971.
